Feature Film: The Public Enemy

The Public Enemy Movie Poster

The rise of Al Capone as America's most famous criminal inspired Hollywood to create their own gangsters—and to use Capone as their model.

See the three gangster pictures that set the standard for every gangster movie that followed—plus an epic tribute made after the era of gangster films was over—on Thursdays at 7 p.m.

Tonight, enjoy The Public Enemy (1931), starring James Cagney and Jean Harlow. Brash kid Tom Powers climbs through the ranks of the Chicago underworld while degenerating into a vicious lowlife.

Al Capone's Famous Movie Gangsters runs on March 21 & 28 and April 4 & 11.

This event is free and open to all. Drop in for a fun time.
